Nigel Webb, MMAA

We are saddened to share the news that MAA Member Nigel Webb passed away on the 24th December 2024 after a 3-year battle with prostate cancer. Nigel was always very proud to be a member of the MAA and was awarded his membership at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2010, via the professional entry route. Nigel studied Scientific & Medical illustration at Southampton Faculty of Art & Design and Southampton University and graduated with distinction in 1981. He worked full time as a medical artist, and latterly, also as a medical photographer and artist for the NHS in London. For many years he worked for the Medical Research Council producing illustrations of scientific and medical equipment innovation and design and recently focused on illustrating books and journals for the Oxford University Press Medical Publications Unit. Nigel will be very much missed, and we send our sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
