Merlyn Harvey

Merlyn is a trained Medical and Fine artist, working in various mediums – charcoal, pastel, pen, watercolour, oils or digitally (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Procreate).

Clients include Edinburgh Council, Elsevier, Osprey Publishing, Leckie & Leckie, D.C. Thomson’s.

She previously worked as an in-house Graphic Artist for The Scottish Qualifications Authority illustrating exam papers/educational materials, and then as an Illustration Buyer for Elsevier Medical/Health Publishing. Most recently her work has been cartoon-style illustrations for educational/family resources for Edinburgh Council.

Merlyn often likes to work conventionally, using hand-drawn techniques and lately this has led her back into the freedom of fine art – life drawing and sketching at the zoo, in particular.
